Más allá de los likes: Cómo descubrir tu propósito emprendedor

Si emprender fuera fácil, todo el mundo tendría una empresa emergente y Jeff Bezos estaría comprando camisetas en tu tienda online. Pero la realidad es que este camino es como subir el Everest… en chancletas. 

Por eso, encontrar tu propósito no es solo bonito para decirlo en un pitch, sino clave para no tirar la toalla cada vez que las métricas de tus redes sociales te deprimen.

Un propósito claro no solo le da sentido a tu actividad emprendedora, sino que además conecta con una amplia gama de oportunidades. Facilita construir relaciones profesionales, aprovechar los espacios de networking y desarrollar un negocio escalable que prospere en un competitivo mercado laboral. 

Además, te permite crear una sólida marca personal que atraiga las mejores oportunidades de negocio y contactos personales.

1. ¿Por qué necesitas un propósito?

Porque si tu único objetivo es «hacer dinero», déjame decirte algo: montar un chiringuito en la playa también lo hace (y probablemente te dé menos dolores de cabeza). El propósito es ese faro que te guía cuando:

  • No llegas a tus objetivos de ventas.

  • ¿Qué problema estoy resolviendo?
    «Ayudo a empresas a ahorrar tiempo con mi app» suena mejor que «Vendo cosas por internet». Si tu propósito incluye soluciones relacionadas con la inteligencia artificial o el desarrollo de herramientas digitales, ¡mejor aún!
  • ¿Quién se beneficia de mi trabajo?
    Imagina a tu cliente diciendo: «¡Esto es justo lo que necesitaba!». ¿Qué emoción despiertas en ellos? ¿Estás creando relaciones significativas que impulsen tus oportunidades laborales?
  • ¿Qué me apasiona de verdad?
    Si te cuesta responder, no pasa nada: muchos emprendedores descubren su pasión en el camino, después de varios tropiezos.

💡 Pro tip: Haz este ejercicio con una copa de vino o un café bien cargado. La inspiración, al igual que las buenas ideas para tus redes sociales, necesita un empujoncito de vez en cuando.

3. Mantener la motivación cuando los lunes parecen eternos

Emprender no es solo días brillantes de firmas de contratos y posts virales. También hay emails ignorados, facturas inesperadas y días en los que tu único logro es no comerte un paquete entero de galletas. Entonces, ¿cómo mantener la motivación?

Recuerda a tu “por qué”

Pon una foto de tu cliente ideal en tu escritorio o, mejor aún, un mensaje de agradecimiento real. Saber que tu trabajo impacta positivamente en alguien te levanta del sofá.

Celebra los mini-logros

¿Lograste que 10 personas más te sigan en redes? ¿Tu primer cliente repitió compra? Brinda por ello. Los pequeños pasos son los que construyen un gran camino en la actividad emprendedora.

Rodéate de gente que entienda tu locura

Los espacios de networking, como los eventos presenciales, no son solo para buscar clientes o socios. También son una gran herramienta para crear contactos provechosos y establecer un seguimiento del networking que potencie tu desarrollo profesional.

4. Pero… ¿y si pierdo la motivación?

Tranquilo/a, esto nos pasa a todos. La clave está en no dejar que esos días malos se conviertan en semanas malas. Aquí van algunas soluciones express:

  • Haz una pausa: Ve una serie, sal a correr o habla con tu perro. A veces, desconectar es la mejor forma de recargar.

  • Reajusta tu rumbo: Tal vez necesitas redefinir tu propósito, replantear tu idea de negocio o pivotar tu estrategia. Y no pasa nada.

5. Una última cosa: el propósito también puede evolucionar

Quizás comenzaste tu negocio porque te apasionaba la fotografía, pero en el camino descubriste que enseñar a otros te llena más. Cambiar no es fracasar; es adaptarse. Y si algo sabemos los emprendedores, es que somos los reyes de adaptarnos (y sobrevivir al caos).

Tu propósito debe evolucionar junto con tu modelo de negocio, tus redes profesionales y las necesidades de tu actividad emprendedora. Esto no solo te permite ser más resiliente, sino también identificar nuevas oportunidades laborales, aprovechar tus contactos obtenidos y gestionar de manera efectiva tus datos de contacto para potenciar tu negocio.
